The Pastor as Theologian

I could also have said, everyone as a theologian. A theologian is someone who studies about God. Every person is a theologian to some extent. We all have thoughts and beliefs about God. Dr. Albert Mohler did a 3 Part series earlier in the year on the Pastor as Theologian. Click here to read Part 1, Part 2, Part 3. Also, John Piper has an article entitled, "Pastor as Theologian: Reflections on the Ministry of Jonathan Edwards." May God raise up a generation of pastors who will not just be great speakers, but who will be great theologians; who will teach and preach great and exalted things about God. That is my heart's desire. Is God calling you out to be a Pastor Theologian? If so, what are you doing to live out that calling?
